This development at Westgate includes construction of apartments and a public space with two ponds. Boffa Miskell, award winning consultants in planning, landscape architecture, urban design, ecology, graphics, mapping and cultural heritage, designed bespoke concrete outdoor seating to compliment the area and encourage use and enjoyment of the space.

The solution – custom precast concrete furniture

The expert teams of Streetscape and Jagas Paving worked together to create custom precast concrete furniture to meet the design. Very complex moulds were built by Streetscape, and Jagas Paving produced the custom precast concrete benches to spec.

The precast concrete bench sections are 2.5 and 3 metres long, with curved sections so that the concrete seating curves around the outdoor area, and rounded edges for comfort and style.
